Customised lifting solutions

INITIAL SITUATION: There is always a way. This attitude is the basic requirement when we design and implement difficult customised lifting solutions for our customers. One exemplary challenge was to lift and move heavy components for inspection and modernization work on a roof with the help of a mobile crane. However, there was no space for a classic tower crane.

SOLUTION: The obvious solution was: the aluminium gantry crane must be placed on the roof itself. However, this is only possible if the crane´s own weight is not too high and does not put too much strain on the building´s statics. Our gantry crane systems are essentially based on high-quality aluminium profiles, the perfect prerequisite for a customised solution that we were able to adapt precisely to the conditions on site. A radio remote control also made it easier for the customer to operate the customised gantry crane on the company roof. The sideways movement was carried out with the help of an electric chainhoist.

RESULT: The special solution from the SCHILLING think tank and planning department was so well received by the customer that the crane module was subsequently used for many other inspection and modernization tasks on the company´s premises, establishing itself as the standard for this type of task.
