Volunteer fire department training – Animal Rescue

Project description

Case Study 19

INITIAL SITUATION: Volunteer fire departments face demanding rescue and firefighting operations every day. Especially in rescue situations, they encounter a wide variety of challenges. For this reason, regular training exercises are conducted. During the monthly drill of the Endholz Volunteer Fire Department, the focus was on rescuing cows from a confined barn.

SOLUTION: Even in extremely tight spaces, SCHILLING gantry cranes demonstrate their full performance potential. The individual modules of the mobile aluminum cranes are easy to transport to the deployment site and can be assembled quickly and effortlessly without the need for tools. This is an invaluable advantage in rescue operations where every second counts. With their high load capacity and user-friendly operation, SCHILLING cranes ensure smooth and controlled lifting of heavy and mobile loads. These unique features make them an ideal tool for such rescue scenarios.

RESULT: Thanks to the SCHILLING aluminium gantry crane, this animal rescue exercise was successfully completed. This system is sure to be used in future rescue missions.
Christian Gschwandtner from the Endholz Volunteer Fire Department commented: “We were looking for a highly flexible tool – and we found it. The mobile crane can be easily deployed in low-ceilinged barns as well as outdoors. For rescues from pits or shafts, we frequently rely on the gantry crane.“
All SCHILLING standard crane systems are certified and approved for personal safety applications.
