INITIAL SITUATION: Escalators and luggage belts are indispensable means of transport in department stores, train stations or airports. You don‘t worry about using them. They work reliably and are used as a matter of course. But what is crucial behind the scenes for the reliability of these systems is regular maintenance and care. Especially in such sensitive areas such as airports – here: one of the largest hubs in Europe – such work must be carried out quickly and efficiently.

SOLUTION: The solution lies in the SCHILLING-ALU gantry crane, which thanks to its simple and fast handling and the individually adjustable modules extremely flexible and, above all, is quickly ready for use – even in confined spaces, as we often find here. A great help are, for example, the height-adjustable beam supports and adjustable feet, with which you can fit exactly to the local conditions. Low downtimes and a quick re-start-up of the escalators, walkways and luggage belts are the result.

RESULT: A renowned, internationally active elevator and escalator manufacturer used our aluminium gantry crane with parallel adjustable side frame to install and remove drive motors. The heavy load on the up to 6 meters long beams can be used by means of a trolley – today electrically movable trolleys are possible – can be handled very easily. Little space, faster assembly and dismantling, heavy loads easy to handle. The solution – the SCHILLING-ALU gantry crane!
