INITIAL SITUATION: Roof windows are permanently exposed to the increasingly extreme weather conditions. In order to reliably ensure their protective function for the buildings, they must be maintained regularly and after a certain period of time completely replaced. What can be done with the construction crane in a new building is a real challenge when replacing the roof windows on existing buildings. How can the very heavy elements can be replaced as quickly and precisely as possible?

SOLUTION: The solution is the SCHILLING-ALU gantry crane, which stands out for its consistent lightweight construction and very high flexibility. The quick-to-erect ALU gantry crane with a maximum lifting height of 3.6 m and a load capacity of 500 kg was used on the company roof. Thanks to the clear width of 7 m, the crane fits over the skylights and can be easily moved from window to window with the help of the park brake trolley. The electric chain hoist helped with the precise positioning of the heavy window elements.
