SCHILLING aluminium gantry cranes optimise maintenance work on Lake Constance ships

The White Fleet on Lake Constance relies on innovative lifting technology for efficient maintenance work during the winter months. During the engine overhaul of the ship ‘Stuttgart’, mobile aluminium gantry cranes from SCHILLING were used to safely remove and transport engines weighing 1.8 tonnes in the cramped tween deck.

The space-saving and flexible gantry cranes enable a considerable reduction in installation and removal times while at the same time guaranteeing maximum work safety thanks to certified crane systems. Thanks to this efficient solution, the MS Stuttgart was put back into operation as a Christmas market ship in time for the Constance Christmas market.
