Gantry crane as assembly aid for ultra-fast loading stations

Nationwide, the number of charging stations for e-mobility is growing rapidly. For example, EnBW plans to put one thousand ultra-fast charging stations into operation in well-frequented areas by the end of 2020. The new high-performance charging stations can charge electricity for a range of 100 km within 4 minutes, provided that the e-vehicles can use the full charging capacity.

The flexible and mobile aluminium gantry cranes of SCHILLING are planned for the installation of these not exactly light fast charging stations. The different conditions of the respective charging station require the greatest possible flexibility of the lifting device. Due to different pluggable and divisible elements of the gantry crane, flexibility and mobility is ideally guaranteed. Thanks to the ALU lightweight construction, the portal cranes can be easily transported and assembled even by small assembly teams. Further features such as the parking brake, the revolving belt or the use of the pulley block, all of which also serve for the safety of the assembly staff, were among others decisive for the test of the SCHILLING gantry cranes.
