Crane System for Production Line

Another special project was the design and manufacture of a special gantry crane or crane system for the production line of a German car manufacturer.

Here, the challenge was the relatively low ceiling height of the production hall as well as a close interlinking of various robot components. In addition, an extensive adjustment facility for maximum flexibility was required. The great advantage of these SCHILLING crane constructions is also the possibility of the crane system to be set up easily and quickly at another production site.

Height, width, longitudinal as well as lateral displacement was considered in the design so that the different robots used could work in perfect coordination.

The stable framework construction then also made it possible to move the largest existing robots with a self-weight of over 3,000 kg over the entire length of 9 meters.
